Caribou Country

Today, I had an interview with Denali National Park. I thought things went well. The process is long and so I won't know anything for a couple weeks. The position would be a higher grade than I have now, but it is more than 3,000 miles from home. On the plus side, they have caribou, lynx, wolves, and Dall's sheep, none of which I have seen in the wild before. Can you imagine me giving sled dog demonstrations?

We had a fair amount of snow yesterday, which followed warm and humid weather. Warm was 40s. Just as I was thinking about spring, winter came right back and reminded me who's boss.

I was thinking about washing my car the last time I was in town, but didn't do it. I know for a fact the last time I washed my car was in August 2008.

Hopefully I'm not breaking a story I shouldn't, but the NPS is going to be redesigning its websites later this year. They are going to look sweet. The content should all migrate smoothly, just be presented in a spiffier way, I hope.

Work continues on my painting. Some things aren't working for me. I will probably get more done tomorrow. I had made a time-lapse movie of me working on it, but the file was 55 megabytes and tended to overload my program when I tried to convert it to an animated .gif file. I also feel like the thumbnail looks better than it does in real life.
